Read Me!

  • You can link an assignment to any page or module in your course.
  • You must publish an assignment, or it won't be visible to students

Quick Start

From within your course, choose Assignments > +Assignment
Or follow the detailed steps linked here.

Adding an Assignment (Step-by-Step) [click to view]

Fill out the remaining sections of the assignment, then save it.

Linking to an Assignment [click to view]

As you create the assignment, choose a location to link it from the list at right. (In the example below, the assignment would be linked to the Week 4 Activities page.)

Publishing the Assignment [click to view]

Students won't see the assignment until you publish it. You can choose whether to publish the assignment when you create it, or to reveal it later.

Creating a Group Assignment (Optional) [click to view]

You can create a group assignment. This requires the setup of groups within your course. You can create these groups on-the-fly or at another time (when you edit the assignment).

You can edit any assignment after you create it. There's even a check box at the bottom of the assignment editing screen where you can notify students that the assignment has changed.
