Teachers and some staff at IAIA are required to take FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) training. In order to maintain our accreditation, we must ensure that we comply with specific federal regulations, including that we have procedures to ensure student privacy is protected.
The training takes about 35-45 minutes.

Access the FERPA 101: For Colleges and Universities course.
Fill in the required information, using your IAIA email address for your contact email and User Name. For Organizational Affiliation, select Postsecondary Institution from the dropdown menu. Hit Register at the bottom.
Take the Training!
At the end of the course material, you'll take a quiz that presents hypothetical situations for you to analyze. Respond correctly to move through the quiz and earn a Certificate of Completion.
- Save a copy of your Certificate of Completion (please save the file in a format like "yourname_date_ferpa")
- Email your Certificate of Completion to [email protected] (everyone)
- Submit the Certificate of Completion in the HUB Canvas Assignment (Faculty and adjuncts only)
