Creating and maintaining an ePortfolio is an excellent way to showcase your work. You can use an ePortfolio to track your progress over a semester or throughout your education at IAIA, ensure that your work is never lost, and present your achievements in a professional manner.
Padlet is an easy and free tool for ePortfolios.
Login to Padlet at padlet.org.
Be sure to sign in to your Backpack account if you're using one!
Create Your Padlet Portfolio
Now, select a template. "Wall" or "Shelf" are recommended for a professional looking presentation.
Customize your settings, including Title, Subtitle, and the appearance of your Padlet. Click Next when you're finished.
Note: For an ePortfolio, take particular care with your privacy settings! "Secret" means that anyone with the link can see your Padlet. This is a convenient way to share your work. Visitor Permission should be set to "Can Read" so that nobody can tamper with your portfolio. Click here for instructions on how to manage your privacy settings.
Adding Content
To create a new post, double click anywhere in your Padlet or click on the pink "+" button at the bottom right.
You can also copy posts from other Padlets. This will be a good option if you've been using Padlet your classes and would like to include any of that content in your ePortfolio.
Select the existing post you would like to add to your portfolio and click on the three dots at the upper right corner.
