You can set up a link where students can view your office hours availability and request an appointment. Both you and the student receive an email confirmation of the appointment. You can even include a Zoom meeting link in the confirmation.
Calendly is an online appointment creation service. With a free account, you can easily set up an office hour schedule and get a link you can share with students via Canvas or email. An example of an appointment form is below.
Calendly offers free and paid accounts. A free account allows you to create a single appointment type. This should be sufficient for most faculty. (Paid accounts are $10/month.)
Tip - Signing Up with Office 365 ties in your IAIA calendar with Calendly. This makes it easy to keep track of appointments via your IAIA email calendar. Appointments set in this calendar won't show up as available when a student looks for appointment times.
