Various Zoom security settings require that you start your meetings as the host. This article shows how easy it is to start your your hosted meetings.
Recommended Method - From Within Canvas
This method assumes you've created these sessions with your IAIA Zoom account.

In case you have a problem starting your meeting with the recommended method (above), the methods below will also work.
Launch the Zoom app, then click Start Meeting.

Make sure you are signed in to Zoom with your IAIA account, then click your meeting link on the Canvas Syllabus page.
Tip: You can be previously signed in on the Web or the Zoom app for your Canvas link to make you the host. Just check Stay Signed In.

These methods ensure that you are immediately recognized as the meeting host. Useful for reliably using the Waiting Room feature.
